I provide
leadership coaching for presidents of small to intermediate
sized companies among a range of services and I have written
six manuals dealing with issues such as performance management,
management skills, career development and change management.
Prior to developing my company, I was employed with the Illinois
Department of Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities. I
have been and adjunct professor at several area community
colleges for more than thirty years.
I have volunteered in my community. Over the years I have
been an officer in the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce
and the Barrington Area Council on Aging. At other times
I was a member of other local Chambers. Further back, I
had significant involvement in neighborhood organizations
in Elgin and originated and led a Pride in Elgin Week celebration
throughout the city. I was a candidate for the Elgin City
council in the early 80’s, making the primary cut, but losing
in the general election. Educational background includes
an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin
and graduate degrees from the University of Chicago and
Northern Illinois University.

I am a psychologist with expertise in learning and development
as well as business and industrial psychology.
I believe that my employment, educational and community
involvement provides a platform for the state senate. Coupling
my entrepreneurial work experience working with numerous
businesses in the northwest suburbs as well as being involved
with the College of Lake County for more than twenty years
provides me with insights to a broad base of local voter’s
needs and concerns. All of my experiences indicate that
I quickly attain leadership roles in organizations and others
view me as someone with enthusiasm, ideas and qualities
that they want to be associated with.
Spouse of 29 years, Barbara (Staff Development Director
for the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization),
